The Museum boasts a range of places to enjoy a bite to eat or a drink.

Within the main entrance building, Crown Tube Works Café serves a selection of hot and cold snacks and sandwiches and a range of tempting cakes and pastries.  We're also proud to serve Churchfields luxury farmhouse ice cream.

Hobbs’ Fish & Chip Shop


Our  world famous fish & chips are  traditionally cooked in beef dripping and are certainly worth the wait! Under the careful gaze of our expert fryers our 1930s fish & chip shop offers what are reputed to  be the Black Country's finest cod, roe and chips. Dietary Requirements: Please ask at the counter if your wish to try our gluten free fish and our vegetarian option chips in vegetable oil.

Open: 11.30am – 4pm. (until 3.30 winter hours)

Bottle & Glass Inn

How about a pint of traditional local ale at a historic Black Country inn? You’ll find no added gas in our draft ales – they’re served in exactly the same way as they were in 1910!








We also cater to spirits connoisseurs with a range of locally sourced gins and heritage whiskies. If you’re looking for a tipple with an interesting story, please ask our landlords Daryl and Rob who’ll be happy to offer their expert advice.

If you fancy a snack with your drink, then search no further than our award-winning pork pies from local butcher Craig Finch.


Our landlords call bar open from 11.00am - 4.00pm. Sundays from 12.00pm - 4.00pm. (3.00pm winter hours)

Workers’ Institute Café

Located at the heart of the Museum, our indoor café offers a range of seasonal hot and cold dishes to cater to every taste. The WI Café also serves a variety of speciality teas, coffees, hot chocolate and premium soft drinks.  If you’re looking for a treat, why not try a Churchfields luxury farmhouse ice cream?


We cater for various dietary requirements, please ask any of our catering team if you require assistance.
