Here are some frequently asked questions and answers that may help with your enquiries:


1.When can I use my BCLM UnChained Annual Pass?

You can use your BCLM UnChained Annual Pass as many times as you like for 12 months from the date of issue (including Bank Holidays). T &Cs apply. It is not valid for pre-bookable events, evening events, courses or workshops.  

2.I have lost my BCLM UnChained Annual Pass, can you replace it?

We are now able to replace lost BCLM UnChained Annual Passes,  you will be asked to supply sufficient evidence of the original transaction i.e. customer account details. Please note there is an admin fee of £3 for card replacements.


Who can use my BCLM UnChained Annual Pass?

BCLM UnChained Annual Passes are issued for unlimited return by the original visiting party only. Proof of ID may be requested.

I have booked my tickets online. Do I need to print them?

You are required to present proof of your online booking at the admissions desk. This can be a printed version or shown on your mobile device. 


Will I receive a BCLM UnChained Annual Pass if I use discount or Tesco vouchers towards the cost of my admission?

No. BCLM UnChained Annual Passes are only issued when full priced daytime admissions tickets are purchased. 


Is there a cash machine at the Museum?

Yes. There is a cash machine located in the Museum's admissions building. 

7.I'd like to donate an object to the Museum's Collection. How do I do this?

If you are considering donating an object to the Museum, please contact our Collections team in the first instance who will be able to help. 


What does the admission price include?

Your admission ticket includes entry to all exhibits within the Museum site, including our underground mine trip, Victorian school lesson and rides on our vintage transport, as well as unlimited daytime visits to the Museum for 12 months.

Fairground rides are an additional cost as are boat trips with Dudley Canal Trust into the limestone caverns (accessible from the Museum).

Car parking on our main car park is charged at £3.

9.Do you have wheelchair or mobility scooters to hire?

We have wheelchairs that can be hired for the day free of charge. We recommend you pre-book this in advance of your visit as wheelchairs are limited. 

We do not have any mobility scooters to hire.

Do you donate tickets for community raffle prizes?

Yes but due to a high demand of similar requests and being a charity ourselves, we limit the amount of tickets we give away each quarter. We ask that you put your request in writing, including proof of address, with as much notice as possible to Community Raffle Prize, Black Country Living Museum, Tipton Road, Dudley, DY1 4SQ and a limited number of requests will be fulfilled at random. If you do not hear back from us, please assume that your request has been unsuccessful.


How do I get to the Museum by public transport?

13.    Are dogs or animals allowed in the Museum?

No, only officially registered Assistance Dogs and animals under the Museum's management and care are allowed into the Museum. 


Can we smoke at the Museum?

No, the Museum is a no-smoking site.

If you wish to have a cigarette during your visit, you can do so outside the Museum entrance – just tell one of our admissions team and they will re-admit you.



Is there an age limit for the Mine Tour?

The minimum age limit is 5 years old for our underground tour experience.  Push chairs are not allowed.
