Our 10-year vision

photo overview of Museum

24 May 2016

After previous consultation with the public, we have put together a proposal for a significant site development to create a world class visitor attraction welcoming 500,000 visitors per year by 2022

Our BCLM: Forging Ahead development could include:

  • A new visitor centre
  • A bustling 1940s-1960s town
  • A manufacturing and making zone
  • An extension to the tramway
  • A new learning centre

We are currently looking for funding for this project which would allow us to complete the Museum's story - a full 300 years of Black Country history. We hope this project will bring to life the unique story of the area and make a major contribution to the future success of the Museum and surrounding area.
