Lovell Builds Partnership with the Museum

Churchill Engine

30 October 2012

With its Priory Park housing development just across the road from the Museum, we’re delighted to welcome Lovell as a new corporate supporter.

Earlier in the summer a team from Lovell used their valuable skills and expertise to prepare the ground outside the Museum’s main entrance for the arrival of locomotive engine, Winston Churchill. At 26 tonnes, substantial reinforcement work was needed to support the locomotive for her display back at the Museum after 35 years on loan at the Pensnett Trading Estate, Brierley Hill. Lovell’s support was worth around £5,000 to the Museum and we’re already exploring other ways to work together.

Lorraine Kendrick, Regional Sales Manager for Lovell, said:

“With the Museum being our next door neighbour, we’re pleased to be able to work together, especially on such a celebrated local landmark. Our expert engineers enjoyed working on this project and we’re delighted to see the Winston Churchill back in pride of place.

“Of course we’re also keen that anyone visiting the Museum and who might be interested in moving into a new home in Dudley will take the time to walk over the road and have a look at our beautiful new homes. There are one and two-bed apartments as well as three and four-bedroom homes, so something for everyone. With Shared Equity on offer at the moment too, it’s actually cheaper to buy a new home at Priory Park than it is to rent in the area, so now is the ideal time to come and have a look.”
