21 July 2015

As the Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy programme approaches its third year, 25 new Arts Fundraising Fellows are celebrating the news that - thanks to additional funding from Arts Council England - they are to be given the extraordinary opportunity of joining some of the country’s top arts organisations on year-long fundraising traineeships.

Year 3 of the Fellowship sees the 25 new trainees joining the teams of organisations across England including Studio Wayne McGregor, the Black Country Living Museum, Writers’ Centre Norwich, and Bristol Music Trust. The Fellows will learn on the job from experts in the field and support the organisations’ fundraising efforts, whilst working towards receiving a Postgraduate Certificate in Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy, accredited by the University of Leeds.

We’re thrilled to be one of the first museums to welcome a Fundraising Fellow through this programme. Our Fellow, Katy Price, joins us during our first year as an Arts Council England Major Partner Museum and will experience a range of areas, from helping us to further develop our network of corporate partners to exploring new ways of fundraising for the Museum. The Fellowship is a fantastic opportunity for those at the start of their fundraising careers and the cultural sector as a whole and BCLM is delighted to be involved.
