Corporate donation to help the next generation

Pertemps People Development Group donation

05 June 2013

Leading employment and training specialist Pertemps People Development Group is supporting the Museum’s Learning programmes with a £500 donation.  With centres in West Bromwich, Smethwick, Walsall, Wolverhampton and Dudley, PPDG's PR Manager Phil Pemble commended the work of the Museum saying it plays a vital part in preserving the heritage of the region.

“Everyone is fascinated to learn all about the past,” said Phil, “in particular how people made a living and how their personal contributions led to the immense success of the Black Country. Our business is to help local job seekers find similar employment opportunities to ensure the region continues to remain one of growth and prosperity.”

“Education is essential in any walk of life but the Museum programme brings a new dimension to learning by delivering a hands-on experience which led to its nomination for support from our payroll giving scheme. There are many business benefits to be gained by becoming a corporate supporter of the Museum and I’d urge other companies to do likewise by getting involved.”

Museum Director of Development Carolyn Sankey emphasised the importance of building such partnerships with local and regional businesses commenting: “Innovation, entrepreneurial spirit and a ‘can do’ attitude is what made the Black Country: by working in partnership with today’s businesses, we’re able to ensure that this heritage continues to be a celebration and inspiration for all.  We’re delighted that the employees of Pertemps People Development Group have chosen to support the Museum in this vital way.”
