Black Country Living Museum has been successful in the latest round of Renaissance Strategic Support Funds for 2013-14. The Fund supports activity that will contribute to the Arts Council's goals, particularly in ensuring that museums become more sustainable, resilient and innovative, and able to attract wider audiences. The Museum is one of 87 successful organisations set to receive £17.8million through the second round of this funding.

 £157,000 has been awarded to the Museum to lead a development programme for museums across the West Midlands to develop leadership and greater self-reliance in the museums sector. A Programme Coordinator will be appointed and the project will involve a number of delivery partners including: organisational development consultants Stephen Feber Ltd, Dudley College, Newman University College and the Association of Independent Museums (AIM).
