23 October 2017

See the Museum as you've never seen it before as we open our doors for free on Sat 18 Nov, 6pm-10pm.

New media and light and sound Artist Andy Mckeown, of production company Wild Strawberry Interactive Multimedia Ltd, will be showcasing the wonder and horror of the Black Country through a range of exciting installations around the Museum involving digital projections and light & sound effects.

All of the installations will be made up sights and sounds filmed and recorded at the Museum – including photos taken by visitors. To be a part of one of the displays, please upload your own favourite photos of the Museum to Instagram with the hashtag #BCLMMyView. You will then be able to view your photos being used in a display on the evening itself.

The installations, which have been funded by Arts Council England and Golsoncott Foundation , will remain at the Museum after the event and will be used  to enhance our special events.

As you explore the installations, you will be able to visit a selection of shops and houses; enjoy some refreshments in the Bottle & Glass Inn; and tuck into our famous fish & chips.
