War Memorial

The War Memorial is a figure of a British soldier mounted on a granite plinth was originally erected in 1923 at William Butler's Springfield Brewery in Wolverhampton to commemorate the firm's employees who had served and fallen in the First World War.  In 1949, the firm added a Second World War roll of honour on a second plinth which raised the height of the monument.
