Horse Drawn Tram 23

Built in 1892 for the Wolverhampton Tramways Company, this tram operated on the Queens Square to Tettenhall route. Pulled by two horses on standard gauge track it could carry 44 passengers. With the introduction of electric trams it was withdrawn from service and sold for use as a garden shelter. Acquired by the museum in 1973, it is the only standard gauge tram in the museum collection.
