Ta Very Much!

24 July - 05 September 2021

This summer, we’re celebrating all the people that helped to make our society work throughout history with a big “Ta Very Much!”

We’ll be exploring stories of the ways people helped each other in the past -  from big changes in society thanks to reformers and philanthropists to small kind acts that made a huge difference to people’s lives, and the way these changes in the past created better conditions for us today. Meet brand new historic characters and discover the tales of how Black Country communities came together to support each other.

Plus, the kids can be helpful heroes too this summer with our family trail! Help our characters with their tasks and take part in games, from first-aid practise to the chore challenge race. You can give your own personal thanks to people who’ve done something special for you by writing a thank you note and attaching it to our gratitude tree.

And doe forget, we’ve got all of your favourite things that make up a bostin’ day out here at the Museum – pop into the sweet shop for your favourite bag’o’suck, try your luck at our traditional fairground games and have an unforgettable fish and chip lunch from Hobbs Fish & Chip Shop.

If you buy a General Admission ticket, we'll automatically convert it to an UnChained Annual Pass on your visit - giving you free unlimited daytime return visits for 12 months!*

We strongly recommend that visitors continue to pre-book their visit in advance. Booking in advance is the best way to ensure you can visit on your preferred day and time of your choosing. There will be a number of tickets available on the door, however availability of these walk-up tickets will be very limited so we advise that you book online in advance to avoid disappointment.

*Ts & Cs apply

We've had to make some temporary adjustments to our visitor offer, including our underground mine tour and vintage transport.  To find out more, visit our  essential visitor information  and FAQs .
