We’ve reluctantly decided to cancel this event as a result of the ongoing public health situation due to coronavirus (Covid-19).

We’re sorry that we’ve had to take this decision and for any disappointment this may cause. Where possible, our priority is to postpone and re-schedule events. However, on this occasion, we’ve been unable to find an alternative date.

A fun day of activities and demonstrations exploring the science behind the metalworking industries.

Join us at the Edwardian Locksmith’s House to explore the impact of science on the history of the Black Country. Take part in a fun day of activities and demonstrations which will explore the science behind the metalworking industries.

All visits to this Locksmith’s House event are by pre-booked timeslots. So that you can make the most of your visit as well as ensuring that you have enough space to enjoy your journey around the house, entry time is split into timeslots at 10am – 12pm, 12pm – 2pm and 2pm – 4pm. Tickets may be purchased at the door however please check our website in advance as capacity is not guaranteed.  

Please note that this event takes place at The Locksmith's House, 54 New Road, Willenhall, WV13 2DA, not at the Black Country Living Museum. To find out more about The Locksmith's House click here.

Cancelled Booking Details

If you’ve purchased a ticket already, you have two options with regards to your booking.  You can either:

1. Request a refund

If you would like to obtain a refund on your ticket, please email our Sales & Ticketing team (salesandticketing@bclm.com) who will be able to process this for you. Please bear in mind that we may not able to meet our usual response times during this period, but we will get back to you.  Please note: you have up to one month following the original date of the event to let us know if you would like a refund.  Unfortunately, we will be unable to process any requests for refunds received after this date.

2. Or, support us by donating the cost of your ticket

If you’re able to donate the cost of your ticket please consider supporting us in this way. We are more than 90% reliant on visitor income and anything you can do to support us during this difficult time would be very much appreciated. Please email our Sales & Ticketing team (salesandticketing@bclm.com) to let them know you would like to donate in this way.
