Introduction to Candle Making: Bees Wax Candles

In this one day course, participants will explore the season and work with traditional Bees wax.

/media/events/library/hlf_logo_job_sites-custom.pngCreate an ‘Autumnal leaf candle’ using wax to embed decorations into a pillar candle.

There will also be the opportunity to create a novelty shaped bees wax candle or another traditional pillar candle, and learn traditional dipping techniques and create a taper candle.

The workshop is an excellent introduction to the therapeutic and environmentally friendly benefits of working with Bees Wax.

It is expected that workshop participants will be able to make at least one candle in each technique, there is potential for taking home 4 or 5 beautiful candles.

About the course leader: Beth Wilkinson

Beth has lived in Netherton for over 10 years and has a great interest in the heritage of area. During her Fine Art degree she developed her practical creative skills and now works as an experienced media and craft tutor, she has a keen interest in exploring traditional techniques within candle making and photography.
