Heritage Skills: Glass Painting

25 April - 25 April 2020

On this course you will learn the basics of traditional glass painting in enamels, using tracing, stippling and sgraffito.

Once fired, your pictures will be permanent and - just like the painted glass in churches - will still be beautiful in a thousand years!

About the course leader: Charlotte Hughes-Martin

British glass maker currently based at the Red House Glass Cone in Wordsley. Charlotte has been making glass for the past 15 years. She has an extensive exhibitions record and was included in the book ‘25 Years of New Glass Review’ by Tina Oldknow and has recently been included in the collection of Ebeltoft Glass Museum in Denmark. Charlotte often combines glass with a mixed media approach to create sculptural work. She makes quirky and fun objects which are influenced by how she sees the world.
