Half Term - Terrifying Tales

27 October - 04 November 2018

Discover spooky Black Country legends and tales of old this half term!

Take on our terrifying trail and discover what lurks in the Museum’s shadows. From creepy canal jumpers to strange Victorian wives’ tales, there’s plenty here to fascinate the family this holiday.

Have some fiendish fun as you learn about the Black Country’s more bizarre customs from turnip carving to the significance of soul cakes.  Soak up the atmosphere of the Museum in its spooky guise – and watch out for some mischievous characters…

If frightful folklore isn’t your thing, you can also experience the fun of playtime from the last century and banish boredom with traditional street games including hopscotch and skipping. Take up the challenge to see how long you can keep the hoop rolling in the hoop and stick game and  test your skill with a cup and ball and the whip and top.

Make the most of your day with a trip    'Into the Thick', experiencing life in a 1850s coal mine, attend a Victorian school lesson and try our famous traditionally cooked Fish & Chips.

What’s more, you’ll receive unlimited 12 months’ visits for FREE when you pay full price!
