Julie Tonkin, one of the UK's leading canal artists  will teach you the traditions of folk canal art. Undertake practice artwork before painting a design on a piece of canal ware to take home.

This is a half day workshop. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the Museum in the afternoon, including the Historic Boaters' event that will be taking place during the weekend.

About the course leader: Julie Tonkin

Julie is a professional narrow boat decorator, painting narrow boats and traditional items of canal ware for boats. Julie has been teaching roses and castles painting for many years and has a keen interest in canal culture and customs.

Time: 10am to 1pm

Booking is essential.
