04 July - 05 July 2020

Learn the basic skills of traditional bobbin lace making. Discover the three stitches that are the basis of all bobbin lace making.

On the first day you will be able to use metallic threads and insert beads to make a simple bracelet. On the second day, you will make a pair of earrings or a brooch to match.

Equipment will be supplied by the tutor, and you will take your finished item home with you.

About the course tutor: Mary Coleman

Mary is an experienced Lace Maker from the Wyre Forest. She loves all aspects of lace making and is keen to pass on her knowledge to anyone who is willing to learn. She is Honorary Vice Chairman of The Lace Guild, a registered Educational Charity and an Accredited Museum with a large collection of lace and associated artefacts.
