Learn the basic techniques of carving and shaping stone. This is a 2-day practical workshop in which you will be using hand tools to create simple architectural shapes and cut letters.

The blocks of sandstone will be provided and you may keep your finished work at the end of the day

About the course tutor:  Mark Woolley

Master Stonemason Mark has been working as a stonemason for over 28 years and has worked throughout the country on conservation and restoration projects. He is the founder and Managing Director of the Yellow Stone Company Ltd. based in Shropshire

Time: 10am – 4pm.

Cost: £90 (inc VAT) per person includes a certificate of completion, use of materials and tools necessary to the course, car parking, lunch and refreshments throughout the day (both days). Pre-booking is essential.
