1940s Evening

17 July 2021

We’re hosting a VE-Day themed celebration and you’re invited!

We’re proud to present 1940s Evening starring headline act, the D-Day Darlings, for a night of song, remembrance and celebration.

The D-Day Darlings, D-Day Juniors, and special guests will tell stories and perform iconic tunes from the period.

And, as if that wasn’t enough, the whole Museum site will be transformed into a VE-Day themed party.  Put on your best ‘40s outfit and revel in the Wartime atmosphere along bunting-lined streets.  There’ll be no rationing here with tasty food and drink in abundance.

Plus you’ll have the chance to meet famous 1940s characters – including Winston Churchill himself.  There’ll also be comedy from ‘Viv the Spiv’ and plenty of comradery from street re-enactors who’ll be joining in the celebrations too.

Join us on Sat 17 Jul between 7.00pm-10.30pm and let the good times roll!

Entry to 1940s Evening is via a pre-booked special event ticket only.
