We’ve reluctantly decided to cancel this event as a result of the ongoing public health situation due to coronavirus (Covid-19).

We’re sorry that we’ve had to take this decision and for any disappointment this may cause. Where possible, our priority is to postpone and re-schedule events. However, on this occasion, we’ve been unable to find an alternative date.

You can obtain a refund on your ticket by calling our Sales & Ticketing team on 0121 520 8054 – Monday - Friday (10am-4pm). Please bear in mind that we may not able to meet our usual response times during this period, but we will get back to you.

This event is a pre-ticketed event - UnChained passes are not valid for entry. We would like to remind you that tickets are non-transferable and we strongly advise that you do not purchase tickets from online third party sellers.

Important note:  if you are planning to visit us for the whole weekend, please note that there will be a break between the Saturday daytime event, ending at 5pm and the evening event, beginning at 6.30pm. Visitors will be asked to leave the Museum site for this hour and a half. 

Should you wish to receive your tickets by post (rather than email) there will be a £3 admin fee. 

Important messages

Usual opening hours & admission prices apply for the 1940s daytime event. BCLM UnChained Annual passes are valid for the daytime visits however, it is not valid for the evening event which is pre-book only.

Please respect our neighbours and local residents by only parking on Museum car parks. A park and ride service is available from nearby Dudley College on the Broadway.

We welcome all visitors to take part and dress in 1940s, however please respect that this is a Homefront event - Allied Forces only.

Interested in re-enacting or exhibiting at this event?

Entries are invited to apply to exhibit or re-enact at our 1940s Weekend & Evening. 

Black Country Living Museum is an ideal venue for this event; entrants will be able to participate in all the facilities of the Museum.

To apply to exhibit or re-enact at the Museum, please download and complete the entry form. Please return your entry form by email or post no later than 6 March 2020.

All entries will be vetted for eligibility, and will be notified of acceptance by email at the earliest possible time. Please note you are not booked in to the event until you have received a confirmation email from the Museum.
