Celebrity Masterchef

The episode  aired on Thursday 20 September @ 8pm on BBC One

With snow on the ground and sunshine in the skies, the remaining eight best cooks competing in Celebrity MasterChef 2018  faced their toughest challenge yet - cooking a feast for 90 staff and volunteers at Black Country Living Museum.

In the first of this series’ semi-final, the competition was heating up in a race against the clock as the celebrities created four mouth-watering dishes each including meat, fish, and vegetarian choices, plus a dessert.

The celebrities had to choose from a selection of ingredients including Black Country favourite pork belly, as well as beef rump, mackerel and whole haddock, and a range of fruit and vegetables.

Andrew Lovett, Director and Chief Executive at the Museum was one of the lucky members of staff to try the delicious fare and comments: “it was delight to welcome this team of celebrity chefs to our Museum. It was a real treat for our staff who really enjoyed sampling all of the food from the MasterChef kitchen. Hopefully visitors both local and national will recognise us when it airs  – it’s always exciting to see the Museum on the television, especially for a show as popular as MasterChef.”

Here are the celebrity semi-finalists who were challenged to cook at the Museum:

Martin Bayfield

Josh Cuthbert

John Partridge

Spencer Matthews

Stef Reid

Zoe Lyons

AJ Pritchard

Lisa Maxwell
