Outdoor Projects Volunteering

With a 26 -acre authentic industrial landscape, consisting of over 70 key features, and a collection of over 70,000 items - we need all the help we can get!

Opportunities are varied, depending on the time of year and the requirements of our teams.

They can include, but are not limited to:

  • Gardening and landscaping
  • Historic buildings care and maintenance
  • Event support and set-up

Our volunteers have enthusiasm for the protection of Black Country heritage and hold an interest in volunteering for the Museum.

A volunteer day at the Museum includes

  • A fantastic team-building experience
  • A chance to develop new skills, and advance existing ones
  • An opportunity to get outdoors and explore our internationally renowned site
  • Supporting the Museum and the community with your hard work

Current Opportunities:

We are looking for someone who is friendly and approachable, someone who is practical and has good leadership skills. This role will be out in all weathers leading and supervising groups of corporate volunteers to successfully complete tasks across around our Museum.
