 1. My card is lost or damaged

Please contact the Membership Team at members@bclm.com or call 0121 557 9643 to let us know and we’ll post you a replacement card

2. It’s been 14 days and I haven’t received my membership pack

3. How do I renew my membership?

You can renew your membership in the following ways:

  • The easiest way to renew your membership is online.  Buy online now.
  • Download a  membership form  and return to us  (includes option to pay by Direct Debit)
  • Renew your membership in person at our Admissions  desk  
  • Alternatively, call our reception on 0121 557 9643 

4. How do I cancel my membership?

Membership is non-refundable.

5. Can I lend my membership card to someone else?

No, membership cards can only be used by the member named on the card.

6. I have not received members’ emails from you

  • Check your spam folder
  • Check your preferences to make sure you’re allowing us to send emails.
  • Check which email address you used to register your account
  • Contact the Membership Team at members@bclm.com or call 0121 557 9643

7. I’ve forgotten my login details

Click the link ‘I’ve forgotten my password’ and you will be sent an email with a link to reset your password

 8. Can I upgrade my Unchained Pass to membership and just pay the difference?

 Yes – if you’ve bought your Unchained Pass within the past month. You can do this over the phone by calling call 0121 557 9643 or pop in and visit our Admission desk.

9. How do I access my members’ benefits?

Benefits on the site can be claimed by showing your membership card.

If you’re booking tickets over the phone, you will need to quote your membership number which can be found on your membership card.

Discounts will automatically be given online when you log in with your members account details. Ticket discounts are applied at the basket stage.

10. When does priority booking start?

For Red by Night, 1940s Evening, Family Night, Peaky Blinders Night and Halloween Nights members have priority booking from 18 January 2017.

For Christmas on the Homefront and Traditional Christmas Evenings, members have priority booking from 18 August 2017.

You’ll receive an email letting you know that priority booking has opened. These dates can also be found alongside events listings on our website.

 11.  How many event tickets can I book at the discounted rate?

 You can buy as many tickets as individuals covered by your membership i.e. if you have a Single Membership, you can buy 1 discounted ticket; if you have a Family Membership you can buy 2 Adult Tickets and up to 3 Child Tickets.

 12. What exclusive events and experiences are available to members?

From exclusive Store Tours where you can get closer to our collection with our expert curators, to an exceptional tour around Banks's Brewery. All upcoming events and experiences are listed at bclm.com/join and in the ‘What’s on’ section on our website. We will keep you up to date with our latest events via email.

13. In which outlets can I use my 20% discount?

A 20% discount on food and drink is available at the following outlets on the production of a valid membership card: Rolfe Street Café, Workers’ Institute Café, Hobbs Fish & Chip Shop, Veal’s Baker’s Shop, T. Cook’s Sweet Shop and Bottle & Glass Inn.

 A 20% discount is available at the following shops: Museum Gift Shop (including purchases made online at bclm.com/shop by logging into your member's account) and H. Morrall’s Gentlemen’s Outfitters.

 Discount applies to members only and cannot be used in conjunction with sale items or other offers. Cards must be presented at the start of the transaction.

14. How do I update my contact details?

Log into your online account, and visit the ‘Manage my account’ section to edit your account information and update your interests.  Alternatively, contact the Membership Team at members@bclm.com or call 0121 557 9643

15. What are the terms and conditions of membership?

Full terms and conditions can be found on our website at bclm.com/join and a copy is sent with your membership welcome pack.

16. Is membership eligible for Gift Aid?

Unfortunately, we are unable to claim Gift Aid on membership payments as it can only be claimed on donations, not payments for goods or services. In some cases, membership subscriptions can be treated as donations for Gift Aid purposes but the value of the benefits we offer exceeds HMRC’s limit. 17. Do you offer a concession rate on membership?

As an educational charity, we rely on the support of our members and supporters to fund our work. We believe our membership scheme offers great value for money so we are unable to provide any further discounts. We do, however, offer a concessions rate on our Unchained Pass and free entry to all essential carers.
