Discover the power of the pen this summer at Black Country Living Museum as they crack open the classics and bring your favourite stories to life. Between Wed 20 July – Sun 4 Sep visitors will be able to listen to tales of faraway lands, scout out locations for their favourite storybook scenes and even get ready for the BFG (big friendly games, that is!)

Managers take first steps to become future culture leaders

Described as ‘life changing’, a programme to create resilient future leaders for the cultural sector has just welcomed 15 new participants for the 2016 -2017 course. The Museums and Resilient Leadership Programme, led by Black Country Living Museum and delivered by leading sector professionals, is designed to help those working in the cultural sector build resilient organisations for the 21st Century.

14th Annual Festival of Black Country Vehicles Celebrates Manufacturing Heritage

Black Country Living Museum will be celebrating the region’s historic reputation as a car manufacturing giant at its 14th annual Festival of Black Country Vehicles. A magnificent display of Black Country manufactured vehicles will be on show including world famous brands such as Bean, Clyno, Westfield, Sunbeam, Diamond, Guy and AJS.

1940s Weekend

Spend the Weekend in Wartime Britain at Black Country Living Museum

Expect a nostalgic journey back to the sights and sounds of wartime Britain as Black Country Living Museum hosts its largest ever ‘1940s Weekend’ on 16 & 17 July. For an entire weekend, the Museum will be transformed as vintage vehicles, 40s civilians, army personnel, iconic warplanes and the sound of air raid sirens fill the streets and skies!
