New events announced for 2014

event

04 February 2014

The Museum has an exciting programme of events to keep you entertained throughout the year.

As Spring blooms, we welcome you to come and explore our herb and vegetable gardens, experience some old-fashioned spring cleaning, join in with Maypole dancing, see a large display of tug boats in action and celebrate the industrial might of the region at our NEW Red by Night evening event.

This Summer will see vintage transport, wartime Britain, half price family fun, comedy, music and much more.

Autumn brings the Museum to life as costumed characters light the fires in the houses, keeping warm by the stoves. As the leaves fall from the trees, it is all a bustle in the streets of the Museum's canalside village with gore & grime in sight, horrible histories, street theatre, women chainmakers and trick or treating.

Winter is the season for Museum festivities, family hunts for Santa, pantomimes, traditional Christmas celebrations and carol singing.
