Transport Depot

Trolley bus

The modern building at the southern edge of the Museum site is the working depot for the Black Country Museum Transport Group whose enthusiasts operate, repair, maintain and restore the trams, trolleybuses and diesel buses in the Museum's collection. The group members have a variety of skills which enable the old vehicles to be maintained in working condition and the group welcomes additional members.

Adjacent to the Transport Depot there are plans for additional buildings to house some of the buses and a purpose built display and store facility for the Museum's car and motorcycle collection which is currently displayed within the Rolfe Street buildings.

Members of the Marston Wolverhampton Heritage Trust can often be seen working on the motorcycles in their timber workshop adjacent to the Rolfe Street building.
