Exclusive use of the Museum
The Black Country Living Museum is a unique venue for an exclusive evening visit where your guests can soak up the atmosphere of days gone by, after a welcoming reception.
Step back in time and relax with costumed guides and demonstrators whose unique knowledge and humour will make your visit a night to remember. Exclusive use is available on any evening of the year, except when the Museum’s own Christmas and Bonfire night celebrations take place.
The Museum offers the following exclusive packages and can customise them by arranging extra entertainment or attractions tailored to your requirements.
Village Experience
Meet and greet your guests in the modern museum galleries (with a wine reception if required) then travel by tram or trolleybus to the canalside village. Here your guests will have the opportunity to relive their youth as they take part in a lesson in the traditional school room. They will then have time to explore the village at their leisure with its shops, houses and workshops and chat to the characters by the traditional firesides.
To make sure your exclusive evening is really complete why not book our world famous fish and chips or our traditional Black Country buffet as part of the night, washed down with a glass of real ale in the Bottle and Glass Inn.
The Village Experience is ideal for groups of up to 100.
Museum at its Best
Your guests enjoy the use of the whole Museum from any time after 6pm. Starting in the modern museum galleries (where we can arrange a welcoming wine reception) guests will be able to explore the 26 acre site at their leisure.
From a trip down the underground coal mine and a lesson in the traditional school room to the rides on the 1920s fairground - there is something for every guest. The electric tramcar or trolleybus makes travelling around the Museum easy, ensuring your visitors make the most of their time with us and enjoy the houses shops and workshops with the costumed characters who bring the Museum to life.
