In this one day course, you will learn the basics of hand engraved glass.

This is a fun class ideal for beginners wanting to spend a creative day making something special.

The course will cover technique and pattern and you will have the choice of creating your own designs or working from found images. You will learn to engrave on both flat glass and create a personalised drinking glass to take home.

About the course leader: Charlotte Hughes-Martin

British glass maker currently based at the Red House Glass Cone in Wordsley. Charlotte has been making glass for the past 15 years. She has an extensive exhibitions record and was included in the book ‘25 Years of New Glass Review’ by Tina Oldknow and has recently been included in the collection of Ebeltoft Glass Museum in Denmark. Charlotte often combines glass with a mixed media approach to create sculptural work. She makes quirky and fun objects which are influenced by how she sees the world.
